Rome was not built in a day. Only a gradual accumulation of a child’s IQ/academic achievements, character development, and crucial qualities (i.e.: leadership, creativity, and global awareness) would enable a child to standout in the increasingly competitive college admission process, and in the career market beyond college.
At UMax, we provide result-oriented and individualized planning programs tailored to each student. Meeting once a week or month (subject to grade level), our meticulously selected counselors and educators with various specifications and expertise guide each family strategically on the following aspects:
‣ Curriculum choices suited to students’ interests and strengths.
‣ GPA enhancement strategies through customized tutoring programs.
‣ Test preparation (when to take and how to prepare).
‣ Life skill and character building through meaningful extracurricular activities, volunteering services, and active internships.
‣ Foster empowerment through quality academic and/or non-academic youth leadership summer/winter programs.
Our goal is to facilitate and support every step of our students’ personal growth, and to help them develop life-long habits and awareness that not only benefit their academic careers but also their long-term life objectives.
College Application
Students with the greatest chance to be admitted are often not those with the highest SAT scores or the most outstanding talents in arts and sports, but rather the ones who understand the college admission process. UMax is here to walk families through this process and provide students with a customized college counseling service that they do not have access to in a regular high school. Each student has a unique profile; thus, we pair each candidate with a team of
counselors and editors to ensure that they make the best decisions in their college selection, present their one-of-a-kind stories to admission officers, and subsequently enhance their opportunities to get into target schools. The programs we offer include:
